Evaluation of submitted applications
 

According to EU-COM and DFG, should not experience significant delays as conducted during confinement entirely remotely (incl. virtual panel review meetings). Depending on the duration of the confinement period, personal interviews of candidates for e.g. ERC stage 2, DFG Emmy-Noether, EMBO fellowships etc. may be held virtually as well. 
EU-Commission: Cancellation costs of reviewers (e.g. due to non-refundable travel and hotel expenses) will be fully reimbursed. Professional fees will be paid to reviewers who evaluate remotely, as normal. 
DFG: Joint Committee ('Hauptausschuss') which is taking the funding decisions may experience delays because now relying only on the written process. Scheduled meetings in 2020: 26-27 Mar (delays unclear), 29-30 Jun, 23-24 Sep, 9-10 Dec.
